In order to maintain our position as the UK most cost efficient manufacturer of quality conveyor chains, Precision Chains Limited purchased the assets of one of the UK’s oldest cold forging companies, Edward Williams Ltd. This purchase combined with the subsequent investment to update the capability and re-locate it to more modern premises, means that we are now able to produce many chain parts by the most efficient production methods.

Our capability enables us to offer a manufacturing service to a number of manufacturing sectors, with the production of such items as Wheel Bolts, Break Hub Bolts, Rivets, Chain Pins, Clevis pins etc..

National 3 station ¾ - ” cold forming machine, up rated to 1” capacity
National 4 station ¾ - ” cold forming machine, up rated to 1” capacity
Hatebur 4 station ⅝ - ” cold forming machine
PB&E 4 station ¾ - ”cold forming machine

These machines have the capability to produce up to large volumes of parts per hour from up to 1” diameter, parts can be “headed” up to 1.75” diameter

The cold forming machines are supported by thread rolling machines and both CNC and conventional second operation equipment, enabling us to provide a partial or complete service.
